I bought this tent following the good reviews and it fitted the bill re price, size and layout. We really do like the tent however we are beginning to lose faith in the build quality. We've only used it 3 or 4 times and so far we have had leaks on seams, cracked poles and the metal collars falling off the poles.

I also think there is a design issue around the doors. The feature to allow the ground sheet to go flat at the door means that it seems to collect water as it rains and diverts it inwards to the tent. This is rather annoying!

I have raised the build quality issues with the manufacturer, so I'll see what they say.

Ordering via OLPRO was simple and delivery was very quick - 2 days.

I,m impressed with the quality of the tent, its design and ease of set up.

For the advertised price I don,t think you can do much better with this style of tent.

A door at one of the ends for when you are only using 1 bedroom would be a bonus.

The only negative I have is that one of the end windows did not have a loop to place the toggle when rolling up the window cover.

The product quality is excellent.

The Martley was featured in the Independent's Top Ten Tents of 2013 - this is what they said:

'This robust family tent – which will stand apart from the usual sea of green and blue on the campsite – is perfect for summer weekends, but hardy enough to take any British weather for longer periods. The fabric is thicker than on most tents available and just three fibreglass poles make it easy to erect.'

Manufacturer's Description

The Martley tent is a classic Vis-a-Vis style technical family tent. Lots of room for up to 6 people, with two large fully breathable inner tents, one at each end for privacy and space. It features an easy to erect tunnel design, with a pitching time of just 20-30 minutes, and can be pitched and taken down as one.

It has plenty of clever and useful extras, such as built in organisers - one on either side, a lantern hook, and mains cable entry points on both sides. The side door (complete with canopy poles) and two large windows with roll down curtains, ensure plenty of light and ventilation.

Of course it's fully waterproof to 5,000mm and is fully taped throughout, with has a fully sewn in 10,000mm HH Polyethylene Groundsheet.
