We bought this tent from go outdoors for Ł199. Just come back from a long weekend away and still in love with this tent.

We had a practice pitch before we went, but doing it in an open field was a million times easier. Once the main 3 black poles were in the ring and pins it pretty much stays up on its own, even in the wind. Its just a case of then doing the pod poles, pegging down main corners as we went and guying out. Took us about an hour to get it up and pegged out, inc guys.

We bought a Gelert Zenith footprint groundsheet to protect the SIG, which is perfect for this tent, and gave us time to plan where we wanted the front to be without rotating the actual tent around the field. Really glad we went for this too as when we packed up the underside of the SIG was spotless and the footprint was mucky, even though the weather had been pretty good all weekend. Def helps keep your tent clean!

Living space inside was excellent. We have two little girls and they both had a pod each, as they keep each other awake otherwise. We had the middle pod with door at the back. This pod has a zipped door inside the inner too, so can still be used to exit if you so wish. We just cable tied it all up and didn't use this exit.

Loads of handy pockets, 4 in each pod, 12 inside the living area, as well as cup holders with small pockets for tiny nicnacks. Few velco loops in the living area that we used to hang jackets up with.

Vent windows on each bedroom pod with a fly netting so air can travel through, as well as windows inside each pod. When doors unzipped they can be tucked away in yet another pocket in the corner of each pod.

Weather was mainly fine when we went, little bit of rain which was no problem. Site was VERY windy, and this tent coped fine with it. Some other dome tents without SIG's were close to taking off! The floor was blowing up a bit as the wind whipped under the sig, but we just put something heavy in the middle of the living area to keep it down. We were really impressed with how well it coped in the wind.

The 2nd night was very cold so we shut the bedroom windows and did wake to some condensation on the inside but after opening the windows and door it soon dried off. I think unless its bitterly cold you should keep the bedroom window flaps open.

There are a few downsides to tent

Firstly was the bag, far to tight, and not helpful in how it opens. Would be much easier if the flap on the bag opened fully instead of 2/3rd. Also when we finally got it back in the bag the clips then gave in when we pulled them taught, the black clip just slid out and wouldn't hold. Going to get some luggage straps instead and hopefully that should help.

2nd downside was lots of guys at the back between pods, and when trying to open/close the back windows between the pods it was like a scene from Entrapment trying not to touch the guys.

I don't think any tent would get a 10/10 which is why this one has 9/10. The Good points far outweigh the few bad points.
