7 Reviews of the Fusion 300

I bought this tent a little while ago on ebay (2nd owner). I had read previous reviews before my purchase.

I used it recently in Worcestershire. It was a godsend to arrive at the site late after work and simpy unzip the bag and pop it up. Awesome. I didn't get any condensation at all. It also stood up to some very heavy downpours of rain, with no leaks. I'm really pleased with the built-in groundsheet and the massive porch. Only issue, was remembering the technique for packing it away. Thankyou You Tube. I would highly recommend this tent. It's brilliant.

This has to be the easiest tent I have ever used, no messing with poles just pull it out of the bag and its pops open. Fab. All stitched together so no need to hang bedroom sections etc. Packing up is slightly harder work, but still, under 2 minutes isn't bad!

Sleeps two adults in comfort with room for kit bags, can get quite a lot of condensation even with the vents open - but a quick wipe soon solves that.

I felt compelled to write this review as, having only taken this particular tent out in good weather before, we have just returned from a weekend away with some of the foulest weather going! Driving rain, standing water in the camp field, exceptionally high winds, hail storms. You name it, we got it! I cannot praise this little tent highly enough for the way it stood up to the weather - never moved an inch, no issues with water ingress and felt much more sturdy and secure than any other tent I have had out in that sort of weather. Fabulous piece of kit for the price.

Great tent, used it last night in terential rain and very strong winds, was really pleased with its performance, plenty of room for one, with all my gear and I don't travel light, didnt have any problem with condensation, didnt notice any at all.

I found the door ok, with the velcro holding the door when I'd unzipped it it gave me a chance to get hold of the door and give it a shake to get the rain off it, it was very muddy outside and splashed up a bit when stood in front of the door but didnt go in to the tent, so didnt find a problem with the bottom of the door.

Went up very quick and took 2.30 minutes to fold away after all the pegs were out and guys fastened in holders, but I'd advice doing a footprint ground sheet for it as the base of the tent was covered in mud which got on the tent when folding, and had to hose it down when I got home.

The only reason I didn't give it 10 stars is there is heavy duty mesh that attaches the inner to the outer tent around the base and I would have preferred a fully sewn in ground sheet over the whole tent, but this may be due to the folding process.

Have used the tent a number of times and not had any major issues so far.

I agree with previous review comments re condensation and the lip of the entrance lying flat to the floor.However.Neither are major problems. If it rains - zip the opening shut and no leakage whatsoever. A quick wipe of the roof of the porch gets rid of any condensation and, having slept with three adults in the tent, the main body condensation was evident but didn't prove to be a problem. All the tents I've used had condensation so not sure where the problem is.?

Anyway - overall a great tent - easy to pitch, totally rain proof (even in a storm in north Wales!), easy to pack, lightweight and it looks pretty good too!

Well done Outwell!

Nice tent. Easy to erect, about 30 seconds! Pegging out is simple, and so far packing it has been simple enough. Maybe I got the knack straight away? Though I am not sure I use the formal method.

Cons are major in my opinion.

Condensation is a major issue. Inside the tent is soaking every morning, even with just one person and with vents fully open.

The design of the door could easily be improved to prevent water ingress during rain. (The comment about only using during good weather baffles me slightly. I would love to be able to choose!)

I also like the porch area, but it isn't something you can really sit in.

I paid more than normal for a pop up tent, hoping for top quality. Feel let down by Outwell.

Great little tent, bought for one night trips, festivals etc. We tested it for the first time this weekend and we're really pleased.

It couldn't be easier to put up and takes literally seconds plus pegging out. Putting it back in the bag isn't quite so easy but it's OK once you get the hang of it, so my husband tells me anyway. Plenty of space for two adults and a small child on self-inflating mats and the porch area was brilliant for storing bags and bits but there's enough space to sit in if you wanted to.

I've only given it 9 out of 10 as the 'lip' at the bottom of the entrance of the tent sits flat against the floor rather than being raised so if it rained water would definitely come in when the door's unzipped, we only plan to use the tent when the weather's good so this shouldn't be an issue for us but it's worth noting.

I would highly recommend this tent as a good sized pop up and I'm sure we'll have lots of fun in it, it looks great and does the job.

I brought this tent last month. Had it up just the once and its lovely! so easy to erect but folding it away is another story. Had to watch the outwell video a few times before I got the hang of it. Should be easier second time round.Lots of room for two. Bit tight for three. Easy to carry as comes with a large round bag.
