Very large living space.(Great for those rainy days) Plenty of bedroom space. Only thing that maybe a problem is pitching in the wind. Lucky for us when we first pitched it was in a light wind. Fantastic tent for families. Also a great price and it is certainly worth it.

I noted the comments other uses have said about requiring more than one person to erect this tent, I have done so on numerous occasions on my own, it's just easier with 2 people. Massive tent with added bonus of been able to move the door inward to make a porch area, excellent headroom, but be careful when putting up not to over tense the front section otherwise the door is very difficult to open (unzip). The tent has plenty of windows - including a roof one to provide plenty of daylight. Good value for money and well made tent.

This is a whopping great big tent, masses of room which is ideal if you have children and the weather lets you down. Lots of headroom. It is perfect for a family especially if you are pitching up somewhere several days. Large living area for everything probably including the kitchen sink!
Would say it needs more than one person to pitch as it is so vast, and took us well over an hour on our first attempt, although we are down to around 40 mins now.
Only downside is the sheer weight of the thing, as others state it needs to be in two bags.
Also took some tweaking getting the front end just right in order to zip the door.
A lot of tent for your money and would definitely recommend it.

Overall a very good family tent that survived all that the summer of 2007 threw at it.
Easy to pitch and very good headroom throughout. We have used the tent in high winds and have found it to be very stable although it is advisable to buy heavy duty tent pegs to replace those that are supplied and to pitch with the bedroom section into the wind, something that we forgot to do on one camping trip and had to turn the tent around the next day.
The tent itself could do with more pegging out points along the bottom of the tent since in windy conditions it can flap around.
One further point to bear in mind is not to over tension the front guy lines or you will have problems zipping up the front door.

My friends have this tent and so I have watched them pitch it. When we bought our family tent 2 years ago (Outdoor Revolution Scenic 6.2) this was one of the contenders. We have recently borrowed it for other friends to use and have done a 'test pitch'.
Its a huge tent, with good headroom - ideal for longer holidays.
The bag it comes in is substantial and looks good quality I like that it has separate compartments - but it is very heavy to lift everything together.
I know my friends have had a problem where the tensioning pole nut has rubbed at a seam.
It was very easy to pitch on a calm day, but its a lot of tent to manhandle in the wind. It was very difficult to get back into the bag - I prefer the oversized bags that come with the OR tents.
It doesn't come with a footprint groundsheet, you get two separate ground sheets for the living area - so that you can move the front wall back and create an awning.
Being able to move the wall back is great as you can create an outdoor area to cook and sit in even if there is some rain.
The bedroom pods are a good size, and there are storage pockets.
I would prefer to have one groundsheet to go under the bedroom pods and the living area.
Having seen the tent in use and having pitched it, I wouldn't buy it.

The Gelert LV6 is a lot of tent for the money, with plenty of head room. The one I own has dubious stitching and a characteristic of the tent seems to be the removable front panel / door stressing the stitching. Quite honestly the weight of it makes it quite awkward to lug into the car, and I am a not insignificant 6'4' (It could benefit from being in two bags). It does have a huge living area, has not leaked on me, and withstood some incredible winds.

Excellent tent, good design and good build quality with plenty of headroom throughout - a lot of tent for your money. Huge living area with six very large windows, a front door and a side porch. Good waterproofing at 3000mm HH. Separate groundsheet for living area.
The LV6 is classed as a six berth (2 bedroom pods, each sleeping 3), and will sleep six at a push, but like all other six berth tents it is far more suited to sleeping four. In later models the sleeping configuration has been changed to one pod sleeping 2 and the other sleeping 4.
Easy pitching for two persons but probably nigh on impossible for someone on their own. Very stable in high wind so long as the sloping bedroom end is pitched into the prevailing wind and it is fully and properly pegged out. Internal steel poles run the length of both sides and greatly add to the stability. Pitching time around 30 minutes plus additional pegging out.
Ignore the RRP of £355.00. If you shop around a price somewhere in the region of £200 or just over is more realistic.
