After loads of research we bought a Sun Valley 6. We know Outwell is a good brand as we also own an Oregon 4 and previously owned a Hartford XL. We don't find the video instructions on the Outwell website informative at all, so put up the tent using our knowledge of tunnel tents. It is extremely spacious, great head-height everywhere giving you a feeling of space and the large windows add to that. The canopy is great, it could be a bit deeper for us personally. We also have the carpet which really adds to the peace and comfiness of the tent.
The side poles seem overlong for their purpose but they do add rigidity albeit you do worry that you are going to stretch the fabric. Our tent stood up to a huge storm and was literally hit on the side by a gust of wind which flattened it and then the tent calmly righted itself. A witness watching was convinced our tent was gone. A small leak at a seam developed after a few days of rain and we have put this down to over-tightened guy-ropes due to the storm, we will put sealant on the seams. It ended up being wet for a couple of days before we could put it back up to dry it out and although it had taken on water inside, it was absolutely fine. A good tent!

I bought the Sun Valley 6 from All Weathers for £378 including carpet. I have to say this tent is amazing, I cannot fault it in anyway. If you only have a car and no trailer this is the tent to buy. It all fits into one bag, very easy to pitch and extremely sturdy. I love the attached canopy and very large windows, it makes the tent feel very roomy and light inside. 10/10 this time Outwell!

We have a sunvalley 6 2007 model we love it loads of room we have the carpet and all outwell accessories the only thing we regret not buying at the time as we now need one and cant get hold of one is the front extension as the front door slopes at the front so when it rains the front bucket groundsheet gets a bit wet. We have looked at the new 2008 model and really disliked it as it does not have the flysheet windows our 2007 model has which we find very handy when it is warm as it lets the breeze flow through the tent

We've had Monty 4, pop ups and hartwells xl and xxl and the wicked Sunncamp aps3006 plus ( too big for the car brill for 4 people ) Realised after extensive research and many tents later the Sun Valley 6 is fantastic, fits in car well, all in 1 bag and bags of space, head hight, daylight and dry. Best tent on the market, sad we dont have the new zip on canopy, but we use the old Monty canopy and it works a treat.

Bought this new & unused in early 2008 as old stock.
I use it with my wife and two toddler daughters and the bedrooms are fairly full as the kids are on air beds, although when we move them onto camping mattresses, there will be more space.
Been out in it for 4 or 5 trips and love it to bits.
The most recent trip (7 nights, just got back tonight) it proved it was a tent I could really trust.
The first stop was an overnight stay. We arrived in pouring rain and pitched in around 45 minutes (me & pregnant wife). There was a small amount of water in the tent when we put it up that probably got in through the doors, which were slightly open whilst we pitched.
Overnight the rain continued relentlessly and, upon waking, the tent was sitting in a lake about 2-3 inches deep - not a drop inside the tent. This alone meant that it was money well spent. Four tents had left during the night as they were flooded out. Many others were sopping wet.
A few nights later we were caught in a storm whilst camping on the coast in the far north west of Scotland (the site had no shelter whatsoever and was about 100 yards from the shore). A weather station about 10 miles away gave the average wind speed as 51 mph over a four hour period! The gusts were even higher. The tent stood, although we did break two poles (to be honest, I was really impressed the tent stayed up and in the same place - I half expected us to be blown into the field next to the campsite).
On the overnight stay on the way home, I repaired one of the broken poles with the included spare and pitched the tent single handedly in about 1 hour 20 mins (whilst cooking the tea and my wife looked after the kids).
A great holiday, a couple of horrible nights, but the tent kept us all safe and dry. Couldn't ask for more!

Have just used our Sunvalley 6 (2007)model for the first time and was very impressed. It was easy to put up in about 20 minutes. We have the footprint groundsheet which means the underneath of the tents groundsheet keeps clean. The inners can be used as 2 separate 3 berth or one large inner.I think 3 in each inner is a bit cramped, unless they are small children. The windows have a fly mesh to them so you can have air coming through without any bugs. The front porch is very handy to store things in.It is easy to take down but needs a bit of practice rolling it up to fit into the carry bag.The only niggle we have is the inner tent does not sit flat to the groundsheet where it clips to the side of the tent,I think this is common on a lot of Outwell tents, not just The Sunvalley 6

I have just bought a Sunvalley 6 dome tent. Used it the first time and was very impressed. Instructions for erecting the tent were straight forward, although it did take us a little bit longer than recommended to put up, but practice makes perfect! It was a very sturdy tent. It has lots of room inside and 2 bedrooms can be removed or made into one. This is the first Outwell tent I've bought and it is great. Also withstands the rain.

Camped with friends, us in Montana 6, them in new Sun Valley 6 (2008 model). We think that they had the far better tent - and with our extras it cost them a lot less too.
It has a lot of the features of the Montana like side-by-side bedrooms, sewn-in groundsheet etc, but has a zip-off enclosed extension included in the price and fibreglass poles so that when packed up everything fits into one bag (inc footprint groundsheet) whereas we have four bags (tent, poles, canopy, groundsheet).
The living area space is marginally smaller but still fitted in table and chairs for us all, and the windows, being larger let in more light. I'm not unhappy with the Montana 6 but wish I'd seen this one first.
