Got one second hand, (£31 ebay bargain!), and took it for it's first outing last weekend after a practice run the weekend before. Blowing a hoolee, the fun began! Not the easiest tent to put up, but finally cracked it after untangling the tensioner belts! Found it easier to peg out the back, (bedroom), into the wind, then put the poles in. As the flysheet was anchored, when the dome went up, it was pressed to the ground. Once fully erected, was solid as a rock due to it's most aerodynamic aspect facing the wind. A few tents were destroyed in the valley, (Norden, Dorset), but this was immovable and water tight.
I would agree it would be a squeeze in the bedroom for five, but was fine for three oversized adults. The living room is huge and can easily seat four at a table, six if you put your kit elsewhere. Thanks to the vent at the top, I cooked and everything in mine with no bother or edging around.
I'd highly recommend this. So many newer tents do the reverse and give people a whopping bedroom and the lower tunnel bit to access it. Other than lay down, what do you do in a bedroom?, (not under canvas, please!) Madness! This is brilliant!

We have camped many times in ours and cannot fault it. Easy and quick to erect. There are just the 2 of us when camping so have plenty of space I think it would be a bit cramped with 5. The flaps on the tent prevent the wind and rain which is the reason we purchased this over others these flaps can be raised when it is hot to allow ventilation. We have never had any problems with it leaking even in the heaviest downpours, it also stands up to strong winds. Another thing we like about this tent is it has 2 doors so you can open up the living space hence it feels much more spacious. Having owned ours for a few years now it still looks like new the only negative I feel is the windows condensate but we get over this by tying back the window covers and find it usually dries out quickly. I would not hesitate to buy another.

Have been away several times in this tent with my daughter (comfortable for 2 people, very cramped I would imagine for 5). The last time we went was to a festival last August 2008 when it poured with rain for 3 whole days. Despite the liquid mud outside being about 6' deep, the tent remained surprisingly watertight. I also own a Kyham Rigidome XXL which I used in Sept 2008 for another holiday where it rained all the time, the Kyham leaked like a sieve compared to the Coleman. In fact it was so good I have just ordered a smaller Coleman the celsius duo 3 which will be a bit smaller and easier to put up for future festivals

Great tent that you can stand up in and easy to erect. We had the model before they put in windows. Used it loads of times in all weathers and it never let us down. Love the skirt all around the bottom (not just living area) that keeps out the wind and rain. A good living area and a comfortable tent.

This is just such a good tent! We researched the tent we needed to death and went all over looking at them. We were looking at the time for a tent for two adults, two young teenagers and two dogs. It needed to be high enough to stand up in, easy to put up and decent quality. We bought the Coleman Bi-Space 500 and off we went to muddy Brecon. It tipped down the first night and next morning but we were all fine. The tent stood up brilliantly to the rain. It takes two to put it up but packs away so neatly.
We spent a week in it in Dorset in 2006 and were very comfortable.
We have since bought a caravan but still have the tent because I just can't get rid of it. Would buy it again!

Fantastic, camped in Northumberland last year which was windy beyond belief we had to go off site to get out of it, the tent stood up to the bad weather even if we did not kept us awake all night. This year we are going to Cornwall and will be taking our new kitchen tent which we used for the first time last year but with the wind had to take it down. Hopefully the site will be less exposed as it is in a walled garden better than last year where our pitch was called Everest which gives some indication on how high it was.
There is plenty of space for everything we need for a 2 week holiday

Love it, can be erected within 20 minutes from taking it from the car to sitting down to a cup of tea, bed made up etc. Easy to erect colour coded poles, plenty of guy ropes and peg downs [you don't have to use them all]. Robust even in storms. Camped in England, Scotland and France with it since 2005 and it has never let me down. Plenty of room [but there is just 2 of us] go for a larger model if a family. Packs up to the size of a small holdall. If it were damaged tomorrow I would replace it with the same.

A great first tent for a small family. Has one big bedroom area (separated by a sheet if wanted), could take 5 but for airbeds then its 1 double, with 1 or 2 singles for comfort. It is quite spacious and one of the first one at the time that you could stand up in - great for those wet days!
Packed up small, in special pack, colour coded poles, plenty of guys etc made it easy and quick to pitch. Plenty of mesh fly screens etc.
A good tent for reasonable money.
Only down side, is no windows so if you are sat in on a rainy day with the door in non-porch position then its bit dark and gloomy.
