Macdonald’s Farm is a family-run touring park and campsite situated in Porthcothan, within the ‘Seven Bays’ – one of the most beautiful parts of North Cornwall.
StayMacdonald’s Farm offers grass pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents with electric hook up or come and stay in one of their beautiful bell tents in the brand new glamping area, or their new sea view apartments which will be ready for 2021/2022.
The site has excellent drainage and brand-new toilet/shower facilities, Dog wash/Surf board wash, a bar, Log Burner hire, Food at the Farm nights, freezer, laundrette, wifi, dog exercise area and much more.
Set back from the rugged coastline, the campsite has far reaching country views in a very quiet secluded spot, looking down the valley, disturbed only by the sound of their animals. Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep with an uninterrupted panoramic sky, perfect for star gazing.
Relax
They welcome both families and couples looking for a chilled, relaxing holiday. Sleep under the Cornish stars, eat some of the best local food in their wonderful farm garden, meet their animals, ride a pony or enjoy a drink or two from the brilliant Sundowner Bar.
Macdonald’s Farm is under complete renovation with brand new facilities opening in 2021. Your booking entitles you to exclusive access to the garden, animals, playground and activities plus bar and pop-up food nights. Winner of 2020 Traveller’s Choice Awards in Tripadvisor.
Play - the Beach and Surroundings
The nearest beach – Porthcothan, only a 10 minute walk away is a delightful little bay, great for bathing, surfing and snorkelling. Sand dunes and rock pools all combine to make it an idyllic place for both families and couples. Porthcothan is a dog friendly beach, with no seasonal dog ban. It also houses a fantastic takeaway coffee and lunch stop – Porthcothan Bay Stores. Run by Barney and Emma you’ll not find a friendlier welcome around and a great place to get some food and drink locally.
The campsite is situated in the best area to explore the North Coast and local hot spots of Padstow & Newquay. They also have a bus stop to take you either way along the coast.
