KAMEI Husky 420 DuoLift Roof Box

This KAMEI Husky 420 Roof Box is a brand new box; a great size if you want a box with a large capacity, without it being too long. The Husky 420 has a big load carrying capacity, thanks to its optimum shape and low profile box to bar fittings, and - especially if you use aluminium T-track roof bars - there'll still be space next to it for one bike carrier.
The
KAMEI Husky 420 includes all the essential attributes of any KAMEI box - good looks, ease of use, top quality mouldings, excellent security, wide opening, safety tests that are up with the best. The 420 also has a 'pull to shut' central locking system, and a 75kg load limit, so it's got everything going for it.
The Husky 420 is a great size and full of useful features, including 'DuoLift'
dual side opening!
It's designed to make optimum use of the space on the roof, without being
longer than the roof on most cars. It's an ideal choice if you don't have a
huge car, but still want a box with a large capacity. You'll still have
space for one bike carrier, if you are using aluminium bars that are at
least 120cm long. KAMEI have included 'DuoLift', allowing the box to be
opened from either side. This makes this wide box much easier to fit and
load, especially on taller vehicles.
The Husky 420 has a rated capacity of 420 litres but thanks to its low
profile reinforcing ribs and fittings, and a lid that's an optimum shape for
load carrying, it's surprising how much you can load into it.
It includes KAMEI's ingenious central locking system - all the benefits of
central locking without the potential drawbacks:
The box is unlocked with a quarter key turn, but locked again just by
pulling the box shut. Big deal? Actually, yes. All other central locking
systems have a big drawback when it comes to closing the box, because you
need to turn the key in the lock at the same time as holding down both the
front and the rear of the box – which is a three handed operation if the lid
is being held up by bulky gear, or if the base is sagging due to incorrect
loading or weakness.
The KAMEI system has three catches and three hinges, for extra security. And
you can’t take the key out of the lock until the box is properly shut. It's
a really neat system..
