What did we think of the Robens Hiking and Camping Gear?

The Folding Adventure Aluminium Table was well packed in its own pull tie bag and folds together to reduce storage space. It unfolded and the leg mechanism pulled down to create asturdy base. It has additional struts that you clip in to ensure it is durable and steady. It is a nice colour, a great height and very lightweight making it easy to carry from wild camp to wil camp, or to the beach, etc.

The Serac 900 sleeping bag comes in the usual compression sack that Robens use and this is strong and well made ensuring you can really tighten up the sack with the knowledge the straps and clips will stay in place. I found the sleeping bag a good size and it really did its job well of keeping me warm on the freezing February night when I first put it to test. There was plenty of room to move around and I did not feel too trapped or claustrophic and will be taking this on all winter camps when I need to stay warm overnight.

The Multi Axe is a well made, strong useful axe that we tested on large chunks of wood to make our kindling for the fire. The blade is well protected with the cover that clips on and off, but is secure enough to ensure it cannot come off accidently. The addition of the saw stored in the axe handle is an excellent idea and helped when cutting up the logs. We found the carry handle and adjustable and removable belt loop very useful too as it freed up our hands whilst searching for the wood.

The Grasmere T7 walking poles are a great weight and so much lighter than aluminium poles ensuring for a more comfortable feel when out on those long hikes. They use a clamp mechanism rather than the twist lock mechanism which I found was much tighter and ensured the poles stayed at the desired height without any slippage.

The pump sack is an excellent addition for inflating your airbed without humidity and moisture entering the chambers. We liked the dual use of the pump sack which also acted as a dry bag, plus we used it as a pillow overnight.
