What Did we Think? Our Review

This is a lightweight BBQ, compact and comes supplied with two griddle plates, one smooth and one ribbed, two wind deflectors, a handle to remove the hot plates and a nice carry case which is strong and sturdy.

With the two rings we found this was great for 2 - 4 people to cook a full dinner or breakfast and is small and lightweight enough to fit easily in the tent / campervan, etc. The two rings are a good size and with the addition of the grill plates and coffee stand, this is a very versatile cooker that runs off all types of gas bottle. We ran it with the heavy-duty Butane 907 gas cylinder with the supplied hose and regulator from Cadac, meaning the Quick Release system was in place and so easy to use. You can use other hoses to connect directly to an onboard gas system or other types of gas cannister. Using the piezo ignition system, the rings fired up instantly and within seconds was hot enough and ready to throw the steaks on.

It is not the cheapest unit on the market with an RRP of £160, however it is far more solid and much better quality than the alternatives out there.

We found it was very easy and quick to clean but we do suggest you follow the advice and prime the grill plates before first use. It is quick to pack up with the grill plates at the bottom of the case under flaps to protect them and the BBQ itself sits above and it all zips up nicely. The low profile of the cooker means it is easy to store and fits nicely alongside the rest of the camping gear.

Being gas it doesn't have the flavour and smell of cooking on charcoal, but does offer the instant ability to cook and the control that goes with it, meaning your food is cooked and not burnt.

Overall this is an excellent piece of kit and we will be using this time and time again on our camping trips.
