Sywell Classic: Pistons & Props comes to Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, on 21st & 22nd September 2024. The show combines historic racers, hot rods and motorbikes with classic planes and vintage music to create a fantastic two-day event, celebrating classic motoring on the ground and in the air.

Watch amazing live action on the transformed ‘Racing Runway’ and ‘Sprint Strip’ with iconic Formula 1 cars, Hot Rods, Dragsters and Motorcycles all in action throughout the weekend. Up in the skies; expect to see a variety of breath taking aerial displays & acrobatics from a variety of display teams. With a vintage fun fair and shopping village, make a weekend of it as camping packages are available. It’s a great weekend for all the family.
Completely Motorbikes
Completely Motorbikes, Britain’s Best Superbike Dealer, will be joining the Sywell Classic – Pistons and Props festival this year bringing some high-octane action and they will not be empty-handed.
Join them for a firsthand experience of all things two-wheeled and browse their eclectic display of premium used bikes. Along with their impressive British Superbike events trailer, and two Kawasaki BSB FS-3 Race bikes, they will have a selection of CCM Motorcycle Demonstrators to book a test ride.
The Bremont Great War Display Team
The Team was formed in 1988, the beginning of a long and successful presence on the display flying circuit . Their first display was at the Biggin Hill Air Show that year and they are now bringing this fabulous display to the show.B
Watch choreographed and precisely flown flying to mimic the chaos of a dynamic WW1 dogfight. It is a unique chance to see 4 Great War aeroplanes flying together and certainly the only opportunity to see the aircraft performing as they would have in aerial battles with a series of head on passes and spiral dives.
The Racing Runway
In excess of 75 historic racing cars and motorcycles will be providing high-octane motorsport action throughout the weekend. The real stars of this era will speed along the ‘Racing Runway’ in a glittering array of two and four wheeled machinery – there will be racing fun for everyone.
Street Car Shootouts
See some of the UK’s most outrageous Street Rods and Dragsters on the runway at Sywell Classic! This year the Street Car Shootouts are back – bigger and better than ever before, with nearly 40 of the UK’s most outrageous Street Rods and Dragsters.
In the past we’ve seen some awesome burnouts, especially from the Taz Racing team and some amazing launches. This year will see some new cars as well as old favourites that have tweaked those mighty V8 engines for yet more power from old favourites and plenty of new cars to produce even more smoke more noise and yet another spectacular display from the Street Car Shootouts at Sywell Classic – Pistons and Props
The Vintage Village and Funfair
Sywell Classic bring back the ‘Vintage Village’ to the show on both Saturday and Sunday. Expect to see a range of vintage homewares, ladies and gentlemen’s clothing, art and textiles. PLUS there is loads of family fun with the Vintage Funfair. There will be a full range of traditional victorian fairground rides dating back to the 1800’s.
Camp at the show and for just £40 the camping package includes three nights camping
(2pm Friday to 11am Monday) on a pitch to accommodate one caravan or family size tent, plus vehicle. Maximum 4 people per pitch and under 12’s are free of charge. Dogs are not permtted on site.To book your tickets click here
Show Opening Times and Prices
The show is run from 10:00am-17:30pm (Saturday) and 10:00am-17:00pm (Sunday).
Adults day tickets are priced at £25, with children under 12 years giong free, and a weekend adult ticket (over 12s) is just £40! Only guide dogs are permitted on the show field, due to live motorsport action. Car parking is available on site and you can purchase Pole Position Parking is you have a classic older than 1994.
Live Music throughout the Weekend
There will be live music all weekend including the fabulous rockabilly band Slick as a Chicken wh will be jamming and jiving both Saturday & Sunday and DJ Reverend Hep will be playing the very best of mid-century Swing, Jazz, Rock n Roll and Rhythm ‘n’ Roots dance music across the weekend, so bring your dancing shoes and groove the weekend away!
