Sywell Classic: Pistons and Props comes to Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, on 20th and 21st September 2025. The show combines historic racers, hot rods and motorbikes with classic planes and vintage music to create a fantastic two-day event, celebrating classic motoring on the ground and in the air.
You can visit on Saturday, or Sunday, or why not make the most of it, and camp all weekend on site
Watch amazing live action on the transformed Racing Runway and Sprint Strip with iconic Formula 1 cars, Hot Rods, Dragsters and Motorcycles all in action throughout the weekend. Up in the skies; expect to see a variety of breath taking aerial displays and acrobatics from a variety of display teams. With a vintage fun fair and shopping village, make a weekend of it as camping packages are available. It’s a great weekend for all the family.
Aerial Acrobatics
Celebrating 40 years experience, AeroSuperBatics are unique, the original and the best and have featured in numerous TV shows wingwalking with world renowned athletes and celebrities. The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc will be performing on both days of the show. P-51D Mustang Jersey Jerk, the mount of Major Donald A. Strait of the 356th Fighter Group, will also be performing both days!
The Racing Runway
In excess of 75 historic racing cars and motorcycles will be providing high-octane motorsport action throughout the weekend. The real stars of this era will speed along the ‘Racing Runway’ in a glittering array of two and four wheeled machinery – there will be racing fun for everyone.
Vintage Funfair
North’s funfairs provide a full range of traditional victorian fairground rides for hire dating back to the 1800’s.
Street Car Shootouts
See some of the UK's most outrageous Street Rods and Dragsters on the runway at Sywell Classic! This year the Street Car Shootouts are back – bigger and better than ever before, with nearly 40 of the UK's most outrageous Street Rods and Dragsters.
In the past we've seen some awesome burnouts, especially from the Taz Racing team and some amazing launches. This year will see some new cars as well as old favourites that have tweaked those mighty V8 engines for yet more power from old favourites and plenty of new cars to produce even more smoke more noise and yet another spectacular display from the Street Car Shootouts at Sywell Classic – Pistons and Props
The Vintage Village and Funfair
Sywell Classic bring back the Vintage Village to the show on both Saturday and Sunday. Expect to see a range of vintage homewares, ladies and gentlemen's clothing, art and textiles. PLUS there is loads of family fun with the Vintage Funfair. There will be a full range of traditional victorian fairground rides dating back to the 1800s.
Camp at the show and for just £150 the camping package includes three nights camping
(2pm Friday to 11am Monday) on a pitch to accommodate 3 people, one caravan or family size tent, plus vehicle. Under 15's are free of charge. Sorry, dogs are not permitted on site.
The show is run from 10:00am-17:30pm (Saturday) and 10:00am-17:00pm (Sunday).
Adults day tickets are priced at £18, with children under 15 years going free! Only guide dogs are permitted on the show field, due to live motorsport action. Car parking is available on site and you can purchase Pole Position Parking is you have a classic older than 1995.
Live Music throughout the Weekend
There will be live music all weekend including the fabulous rockabilly band Slick as a Chicken will be jamming and jiving both Saturday & Sunday. 4 Stroke Rock n Roll/Rockabilly Duo – The T100s will be rockin’ and rollin’ so bring your dancing shoes and groove the weekend away! Little Dave and The Sun Sessions are a high energy 1950’s Rock ‘n’ Roll band who know how to get everyone dancing to their infectious beat.
