What did we think?

Very clever! The key to this adaptor is the Smart Tip. With some multi adaptors you have to set the right voltage by adjusting a fiddly switch on the unit, then worrying whether you've set it up at the correct voltage ( which we found is sometimes impossible to find from the mobile / laptop itself ) and then worry whether you might be damaging your appliance.

BUT not so with this clever device! If you need to power a laptop or re-charge a mobile phone you simply plug in the appropriate Smart Tip for that particular appliance. Then, with the appropriate Smart Tip attached, the VersaPower adaptor is programmed to find and automatically call up exactly the correct voltage for whatever is plugged in.

We found on the move this was great, we carried just the Versapower unit and ditched all our other mobile phone and laptop chargers. Just swapping the tip meant we could charge everything from one unit, great !

Each VersaPower 70xs adapter is bundled with a selection of Smart Tips free of charge (Tips 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 & 07).  Additional Smart Tips are available for further compatibility. There is a list of which tips suit which appliance on their website
