With many more of us embracing the call to ‘Get on our Bikes’, we’re left
with the less advantageous issue of storage and general bike clutter.
Sticking out handlebars and frankly awkward-shaped pieces of machinery are
rendering garages, alleyways and in some cases hallways; untidy at best and
dangerous and useless at worst!
Already renowned in the biking fraternity for its high quality, easy-to-use
car bike racks, MAXXRAXX’s wall storage cycle rack can hold up to two bikes,
clearing the floor area and providing more space. In addition it securely
locks them in place via its built-in steel cable and padlock, giving the
added benefit of security – a particularly important feature for bikes left
in communal or easily accessible areas.
Another benefit is that it doubles as a work station, holding the bike
firmly in place as users tend to the necessary repairs, service and cleaning
tasks, (and may encourage those who bring their bikes into the kitchen for
such tasks, to remain outside where they belong!) .
The cycle storage rack is supplied with a wall mounting bracket, a 475mm
support beam with ratchet and webbing strap and 2 cycle cradles.
It comes complete with a built-in security cable and padlock to protect your
valuable bikes.
They even include a security fixing kit containing all you need to mount
your storage rack on a brick, concrete or breeze-block wall. This kit
consists of 3 tamper-proof bolts complete with their own driver bit for use
with an electric drill.
If you already own one of our bike racks you only need to order a separate
Wall Mount Bracket to adapt it for use as a wall storage rack.
What did we think?
Upon arrival of the unit, we unpacked all the parts and as with the
MAXXRAXX itself, the design was simple yet solid. After a quick study of the
parts and the instructions, the simple job of fixing it to the wall was
underway.
As with the main cycle rack unit the unit is extremely strong and well made and inspired me with
confidence to happily store two bikes on the garage wall. The usual
design features from MAXXRAXX still stand including the security cable
locking device and securing straps and they even supply the padlock.
The final great thing with this unit is that it is interchangable with
the car cycle rack, so you can simply remove from the wall and straight on
to the car, saving time and hassle
Overall , a strong, durable and effective solution to storing bikes and a
welcome addition to the MAXXRAXX family.
