The motorcaravans from the
Dethleffs Globetrotter Class set benchmarks insofar as the space
provided in the vehicles, reliability, quality and winter suitability are
concerned. The new Globetrotter XXL I perfects this offer.
So far the Globetrotter XXL Overcab model has been the biggest motorcaravan
in this section. Now there is a comparable vehicle for all those who prefer
the A Class models. Special highlight of this vehicle: The Globetrotter XXL
I has the exclusive, dynamic front part of the luxury motorhome “Premium
Liner”. The front consists of a circumferential Panoramic windscreen with
wipers in bus style, heated and electrically adjustable exterior cab mirrors
– in bus style as well – and Pilote seats. The suspended wing mirrors are
equipped with a normal and an aspheric mirror surface. When desired, you can
choose the busstyle headlight with bi-halogen day-time-running lights and
the static curve light.
The darkening of the windscreen can be operated comfortably with a vertical
cab blind. Like in every Dethleffs A Class model the pull-down bed with a
width of 1.40 metres with high-quality cold foam mattress comes standard.
It is a matter of course that the Globetrotter XXL I is equipped with the
same plus factors like the Overcab model: much living space, heated double
floor, high-quality, wood-free side walls with Styrofoam insulation, ALDE
warm water heating, Sleep-Well bed system, the front and the rear made off
robust fully insulated GRP and the Gourmet kitchen centre. This new kitchen
comes with voluminous drawers which can be loaded very easy and a large
fridge with separated freezer compartment.
An asymmetric arrangement gives the kitchen centre a modern styling and make
sure you have an optimal user friendliness and use of space.
The work surface is made off the high-quality, one-piece GRP in dark stone
optic. Well-deliberated, the kitchen has got a waste bin and a special
platform for the coffee machine. The inserted 3-burner hob cooker comes with
especially large burners. The base for the Globetrotter XXL I is the Iceco
Daily 70 C 17 (Euro 5) with 170 BHP.
With his common-rail-engine the XXL I is excellent for towing heavy trailers
(up to 3 tones). The white smooth sides are standard as well as the chromed
wheel trims. It is not only the exterior design of the Globetrotter XXL I
which stands out of the crowd. The interior is also up to the highest
standard. The furniture is in dark Cypress Villa wood with beige-coloured
high-gloss surfaces. Alternatively, the overhead locker doors with LED
backlit acrylic inlays can be chosen. For both options there are suitable
soft furnishing designs. Of course, the Globetrotter XXL I can also be
equipped with high-quality leather cushions.Layouts
The Globetrotter XXL I is offered with two layouts which differ in the
rear only.
Both vehicle variants have the same length of 8.90 metres, a width of 2.35
metres and a height of 3.45 metres. The seating lounge provides enough space
for six persons and can be converted to a double bed when necessary. All
those who travel as a group of four or even six persons they will be
convinced of the handy and comfortable pull-down bed which can be pulled
down manually. An electrical pull-down lift is in the pipeline. Same as for
the Globetrotter XXL A the optional couch solution is offered for both XXL I
layouts. The XXL I 9000-2 is equipped with two single beds in the rear which
can be extended with a move-out. The sliding door separates the sleeping
room from the rest of the vehicle.
The bathroom is spacious and has a separated shower cubicle and ceramic
toilette.
The Globetrotter XXL I 9800-2 comes with a double bed crosswise in the rear.
There underneath is a large rear storage compartment for your holiday
implements. The highlight of this layout is the situation of the bathroom –
it is in the front of the sleeping room. By connecting its doors the
bathroom becomes very spacious.
