Caravan Show Task for The Apprentice
|
The 10 remaining contestants in The Apprentice do their
best to make sure their sales figures do not remain static when they are
sent to sell at a caravan show in the latest episode, due to air on the
evening of 12th June 2013 on BBC One ( The Apprentice Series 9 Episode 7)
Lord Sugar sends the two teams, led by Kurt Wilson and Neil Clough, to the
Motorhomes and Caravan Show at the Birmingham NEC to find accessories,
including a roofbox that becomes a boat and a plant-pot barbecue, to sell to
the public.
They also have to find an expensive luxury item to sell as well, with one
team going for a folding camper van while the other picks a retro-style van.
Project manager Neil picks Jason Leech to help him sell the collapsible
camper and is upset when his team-mate proves a hit with elderly motorhome
fans.
Karren Brady, who is sent to Birmingham to keep an eye on the contestants,
says: "Neil thinks he's a far superior salesman than Jason, but actually I
think it's Jason's technique that's going down better. Sometimes (he's)
rather theatrical, sometimes overly sincere, but the more mature person
seems to really like it."
Neil admits Jason's success has hit his "man-pride", but insists: "It
certainly doesn't make him the 'God of Sales'. However I'm happy with what
he's done, I'm playing catch-up, and we'll see by the end of the day who's
made the most."
