Haven't bought anything online direct from them for a while. We did buy a gazebo they had on Amazon at £38 which Campingworld list at £90. I idly wondered whether they were clearing stock.

We do like their tent shows and usually buy something in the marquee.

All the local shops round us are closing one after the other.

I hope they survive but it's looking like more of an online operation with reduced stock.

I bought an end of season tent from them in 2009 and had no problems whatsoever. Good price and quick delivery as I recall. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They were good, got loads of bits over the years.
They closed down our local shop because a go outdoors opened 25 miles away!
We now have a waitrose in its place.

I bought an Outwell tent carpet from them on-line last year, no problems.

They appear to have opened quite a few new small shops lately.

Whenever I visited the Peak District I used to go to the tent show at Calver which they seem to be no longer running. Very sad, I bought quite a few bits and pieces there. Yeomans in Lancaster was too small and closed a year or so ago. :( - not even competition from Go Outdoors as our nearest is about 35 miles away!

It's a shame that Yeomans have stopped doing the shows. If it wasn't for those, I don't know if we'd be the campers we are today.

They used to run them near me and one weekend we happened to stop in and kill some time, an hour later we had bought a Vango Icarus 600, a few years and a few memorable holidays later, we have just upgraded our Icarus to a Rhapsody and are looking forward to the bank holiday weekend :)

The UK is awash with outdoor shops and online you can spend hours browsing www sites for your camping needs - YeomansOutdoors stores retain the human touch with their customers. I've never climbed Mount Everest, not even Ben Nevis and it's great that their staff ask the right questions and can gauge your experience and point you in the right direction and not make you overspend on stuff but actually get you what you need. That's rare these days! So thanks for my Vango Talas in 2014. Happy Camping everyone.
