Our Review: What did we Think?

The first thing we noticed when we got the generator out of the box was the very easy to follow instructions for setting up, running and maintaining the unit. We found it easy to fill the fuel and oil on first use and it did take two or three pulls to start from cold, but once the generator was warm it fired first time, every time.



Once the Clarke IG2200A 2.2kW Inverter Generator was set up and running we plugged it in to the motorhome and found that it easily coped with what we threw at it, including running the lights, the battery charger, charging the mobile phone and laptop and most importantly keeping the beer cold in the fridge!

We found the Clarke IG2200A 2.2kW Inverter Generator gave an excellent output and in the Economy mode we found the unit to be reasonably quiet too.

As the engine is Euro 5 Compliant, this promises improved economy over older models, and of course importantly, reduces emmissions.



It also offers two 240v plug sockets which we found very useful. The 12V battery charging facility sells it for us, enabling us to stay offgrid for as long as want!

Overall, this is a larger unit than the 1KW version, and as a result slightly heavier although still portable enough! For the cost it resembles great value for money and is not as heavy as some other generators providing the same power output.

This is a great buy offering good value for money and is around half the price of some other generators on the market.
