Food Hall Added to 2015 UK Motorhome and Caravan Show

Show organisers Event Developments Ltd are delighted to confirm the addition of a Food Hall attraction at their two UK Motorhome & Caravan Shows at Newark Showground in 2015.

The Flint & Flame Food Hall will feature the finest food and drink from local, regional and international producers, along with cookware, utensils, barbecues and much more. The Spring show opens the season for motorhome and caravan owners on 21st & 22nd March, and the Autumn event takes place on 5th & 6th September, both at Newark Showground.

TV Chef Richard Fox will be hosting cookery demonstrations and book signings of his award-winning books at each show. Richards ‘Love Food, Hate Waste’ demonstrations will focus on reducing food waste, plus ‘The Beer Chef’ will also showcase some of his innovative recipes cooking with beer. Visitors can also receive advice and hands-on tuition from Richard in the live Cookery Theatre.

Organiser Russ Harman said “We are really excited about the food hall attraction. After nine years, we are delighted that the shows continue to expand, and a giant hall crammed full of delicious food and drink is sure to be popular amongst our visitors. Richard Fox has promised some tasty recipes that can be easily prepared in a motorhome or caravan which we are really looking forward to tasting!”

The UK Motorhome & Caravan Shows attract thousands of visitors from all around the UK who flock to see trade stands displaying the latest products for motorhome and caravan owners. Many visitors stay on-site throughout the weekend, also enjoying great evening entertainment.

NEW MODELS TO BE SHOWCASED AT AUTUMN EVENT

NEWARK Showground will play host to a selection of 2016 models as the UK Motorhome & Caravan Shows holds its Autumn event at the venue on September 5-6.

One of the show’s exhibitors, Motorhomes & Caravans Ltd, will be bringing the new 2016 Elddis models – Autoquest, Accordo and Xplore – along with new Hobby models – Optima, Siesta and Vantana – and the Rimor Super Brig.

Richard Sinclair, head of the event, said: “We’re delighted that the show has been chosen to display these exciting new ranges for 2016.

“The superb collection will be just one of many showcased by a mix of dealers who will be in attendance with offers on new and used motorhomes, caravans and camper vans.”

Alongside, traders will be selling accessories and consumables, and product specialists will be showcasing their goods and services.

Visitors will also be kept busy by activities in the revamped Food and Craft Hall which will feature award-winning advice on preparing and cooking meats for camping trips from Nottinghamshire butcher Johnny Pusztai.

Adults and children alike will also have the opportunity to learn new skills through interactive presentations delivered by The Craft Studio.

“Having taken over the running of the events in April, this is our first outing at Newark Showground and we’ve aimed to match the previous high standards set, while also introducing new and improved elements,” added Richard.

“Trade is at the core of the show, but it’s also important to ensure an action-packed day out with plenty to see and do for all ages… and that’s what our visitors will enjoy!”

Those taking up the option to camp for the weekend will also have the added excitement of exclusive evening entertainment sponsored by Park Resorts. Musical and comedy acts will take to the stage before both nights are headlined by tributes to two chart-topping heavyweights.

Friday will see Queen II faithfully recreate the energy, excitement and emotion of Freddie and co, before the award-winning Rob Kingsley delivers an uplifting and authentic performance in A Vision of Elvis, taking the audience through the King’s career from Sun Studio to the ’68 comeback.

Entertainment coordinator Rachel Hippey said: “Taking the party into the evening has been a key feature of the UK Motorhome & Caravan Shows for many years, and we’re delighted with the excellent line-up that’s been brought together this year.

“Both nights include a fantastic combination of music and comedy and, with camping packages selling fast, it’s sure to be a hit with a bumper crowd.”
Weekend campers can also make the most of organised coach trips into historic Newark, money-off at the Newark Air Museum and an on-site camping shop for all the essentials.
