I think that we might come to this! Looks good and not too far from home.

Would I be able to take my dog everywhere (as in evening too) as I will probably be alone with my 9 year old.

Hi PaulaMB

Dogs are seen as a very important part of the family (festival) and like all members of the family, if they behave, they are allowed to go to all the parties in the evening.
The only requests we make during whilst they are at the festival is that the dogs should be on leads at all times and exercised off the camp site.
Whilst at the festival they will be able to watch other fellow canines entertain humans with an obedience display in the main arena, as well as some 'security' dogs demonstrate how they are trained and used. Elsewhere in their own arena some fellow canines will display with agility demonstrations and this is something your own dog will be welcome to also have a go at.

Thank you very much.

I took this photo on Sunday - my dog is no threat to man, beast, butterfly, etc., and definitely the most well behaved member of the family! Maybe an OAP agility class, she wouldn't want to exert herself too much.

I have printed the forms.

She is a dream, lady cake , has never put a foot wrong in 10 years. Never barks, never chewed anything, smiles at the whole world. Just a constant calm presence in our lives.

I am a cat person too - she is my first dog as a grown up. She was ruled by a little feral cat I took on after she had a litter of kittens under my shed. 'Small" as she was known, ruled with a rod of iron!

Hi Ladycake, no problem at all.

I have actually got a pitch booked at Kelling Heath on 19/20/21 June (2 nights). I tried to cancel but wasn't due a refund as it was under their £75 cut off .

So I told them not to cancel - I would rather give it away!

Let me know if you would like it. It is for me and my daughter so am sure would be ok - will check with them if you are.

Obv I don't want any money as I am wasting the pitch (so that the buggers can't resell it!).

Just decided to stick with small non commercial sites as that is what we prefer - still camping that weekend, just in a no facilities, campfire place.

just had a gander at the site, gosh we`ve been past it on the train! very nice (and a nice price!!!). i wouldn`t pay the extra for the pool though, thats a rip off! not far from baconsthorpe where we were last weekend. thats a nice site, no ehu but all the usual facilities, lots of owls and they allow fires hurrah!!

if you`re okay i`ll take it. dh needs quiet while he`s marking gcse`s and we`ll be able to give him peace! you sure you don`t want something??x

Hi LadyCake - I have phoned them (partly to make sure that they hadn't in fact cancelled my booking, can you imagine it, I give it to you, you turn up and it went poof in May when I tried to cancel).

All fine, told them that it wouldn't be me coming but another adult and child. All pitches have EHU (I wouldn't have anything to plug in , haven't even got a cable)!

I really don't want any money for it - you can supply me with a glass of wine if we do ever meet up!

Do you want to e-mail me roht at btinternet.com and I will forward the e-mail confirmation - hope you have a great time .

Pleased to say we have received our confirmation in the post for this great event.
From what I can see we do not have Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham this year, that's good news for me as last year one of the baddies ran round the audience and stood infront of my 4 year old grandson saying how he ate little boys for breakfast, great acting but a little bit too realistic. We made a hurried departure from the arena trying to keep up with a 4 year old who was running like Ussain Bolt.
All good fun though, looking forward to the weekend.

Thanks for the smile
Sorry to hear about Usain Bolt. Those baddies from last year led by the Sherriff of Nottingham need to be sent to the naughty corner.
Hopefully your grandson will find the Pig Racing more fun

Applications by the general public were closed yesterday but we are happy for UKCampsite members to have a few extra days until the 19th, should any member be considering attending with some friends already booked in.

This decision has been brought about by the volume of bookings taken in recent weeks.

Thanks for your support.

Hi Chris
You will need to ring Geoff or Pauline on 07887 812106 this week so they can have your details prior to your arrival. They will need to know you are a UKCampsite member. General bookings has closed several weeks ago but Geoff has made a few extra spaces for members.
