The UKCampsite.co.uk was asked to take a look at the Sunncamp Cariba 9 SE - 9 berth family tent. The Cariba has three seperate sleeping compartments, 2 x 2 berths and 1 x 5 berth compartments with a large living area and porch area. The Cariba 9 SE is exclusive to PJCamping.co.uk. The Sunncamp range of tents come with an impressive list of modern features built in to every tent they make and the Cariba is no exception. The tent is well made, versatile and extremely capable of withstanding the abuse that the British weather can throw at it!
The Cariba is easy to erect with shock corded poles and is carefully designed to suit even the beginner. Sunncamp ensure that only the best available materials are used in the manufacture of their tents ensuring they last and look good!
The Cariba comes with unique X-FLEX Fibreglass poles that not only come with a 5-year warranty, the SunnCamp X-Flex shatterproof pole system provides all the advantages of a fibreglass pole but with the strength of steel. These poles have been tested by X-Flex and they have concluded that under normal camping loads they will not break.
When fibreglass poles break they can splinter creating potentially thousands of dangerously sharp shards which can not only hurt you but also damage your tent, whereas the X-Flex poles have a strong polyprop sheath that, in the event of a pole breaking, do not allow any splinters to touch the tent or you. This sheath will normally hold the pole together in a good enough condition to allow you to continue with your holiday and then change the broken pole section at your leisure.
The Cariba comes complete with heavier duty zips that are not only strong but self repairing on all openings, ensuring that they can withstand the use and abuse that the zips always get in tents! |

| On the Cariba all the flysheet seams are hot-air taped during the manufacturing process making them more weather resistant and sustainable to the abuse of the elements.
The Cariba comes complete with the latest heat reflective groundsheet. The upper side is aluminium coated and this essentially reflects back some of the heat that is normally lost through to the ground. The inner tent groundsheets are sewn in "bath tub" style for maximum protection against wet ground. They are also breathable, for your added comfort and have ventilation areas that are protected by mosquito mesh screens. The inner tents also come complete with an internal storage pocket so you should never misplace your mobile telephone or car keys whilst in bed again!
The inner tents have a secondary mesh door that is on the outside of the normal door enabling this inner tent door to be opened, for ventilation, whilst keeping out troublesome insects.
The Cariba is well ventialted which is essential for camping during the height of summer and helps to keep the air circulting and helps prevent condensation.
The Cariba offers good light during the day with four windows in total convieniently placed next to both the front and rear door, the windows come complete with roll back curtain flaps offering you privacy shuld you wish for it. The Cariba also features rooflights, a great addition to the tent which helps brighten the living area.
The guylines are pre-attached at the factory to reduce the initial set up time of the Cariba and the guying points on the tent is carefully designed to spread the load and support the poles. The guylines as standard are high visibility fluorescent lines to help prevent tripping accidents.

The Cariba features adjustable tension straps, so you can loosen them to insert the pole and then tighten to create the perfect tent. Both the poles and the pole sleeves are colour coded making it a snitch to erect and ensures that you place the correct pole in the correct sleeve. The inner tents suspension system is also colour coded making it easier to install the inner tents.
