Ever since their appearance on Dragon's Den, Duvalay has been a name synonymous with comfy sleeping, so we were delighted to take a look at their clever range for our Duvalay Luxury Sleeping Bag review. These are a luxurious alternative to your standard sleeping bag, combining a warm and cosy duvet with a comfy memory foam
topper, which also provides a solution to the problem of carrying both a mattress and sleeping bag around. In April 2019 Duvalay won the 'Manufacturing Innovation Award' in the Made in Yorkshire Awards.
The sleeping bag has a duvet inside the top pocket and a memory foam or cooling FreshTec foam in the bottom pocket – offering first-class comfort for all types of travel including camping, glamping, campervans, caravans, motorhomes, trucks and boats.
Duvalay offer three different types of luxury sleeping bags including the Compact, Comfort and Freshtec. Every Duvalay is reversible so can be left or right handed allowing two to be used together to make a double.
The Duvalay Compact Sleeping Bag is their smallest sleeping bag when packed - ideal for all types of travel including camping, glamping,
campervans, caravans, motorhomes, trucks and boats, particularly where minimal storage is available.

The Duvalay FreshTec Sleeping Bag is a popular addition to the range, which provides a cooler, fresher night's sleep. FreshTec is a technically advanced cooling foam – a premium alternative to memory foam that not only offers pressure relief and first-class comfort, but also actively fights heat retention due to its increased airflow properties, so whether you’re planning a trip to warmer climates, or you’re simply the owner of a leisure vehicle that retains heat, you will benefit from it.

What did we think? Our Review
We all value every extra bit of comfort when sleeping whilst camping and we jumped at the chance to try out the award-winning Duvalay
Comfort sleeping bag system.
We were sent the Comfort model in grey and white stripes and it was slightly larger than I thought it would be, and was well packaged and very neat and secured in its own carry bag with strap handle.
Inside the carry bag, the bag was rolled up and tied together with two straps. These were quick release and the whole sleeping bag rolled out and was placed on the existing bed cushions of my campervan. There was also a matching pillow case in the bag for aesthetics.
Next came the sleep test, after a busy day walking the hills I was rather worn out so needed the comfort of a good bed and a good nights sleep. With the sleeping bag rolled out, the duvet part is attached on one side of the topper, and is double
the width of the base, so you can control the how much you have on you for warmth, and means you are not constricted in movement like a conventional sleeping bag.
We had the summer tog version and it was more than warm enough for the September night I spent in the campervan. I like the fact that you can simply unzip the cover and attached another one to it to make it a double. it's also washable in a normal home washing machine which is a big plus.
I slept very well and found the memory foam base to be extra comfortable and the duvet kept me lovely and cosy all night. In the morning it was easy to roll back up and fit the straps ready to store. If you have a small car, the rolled size of the Comfort version I tested is quite bulky, however luckily they also do the Compact version which should be ideal for tent camping.
Compared to standard sleeping bags, the Duvalay is in a different league, having the "built in" memory foam mattress smoothed out all the surface lumps and bumps in my bed, and with my body aching from the walking, gave fantastic pressure relief from head to toe!
In summary, a real touch of luxury, which will transform uncomfy caravan or campervan seats, or do away for the need for a separate mattress for tent campers. A really desireable luxury addition to your camping kit for a good nights sleep.

Our grandsons would love those fun Dinky Duvalays for home, as well as for when we take them camping. What a great idea, to stop little ones losing their covers overnight, whilst still being able to kick them to one side if they do get too hot.
We've had Duvalay travel toppers previously and found they genuinely made a tremendous difference to the comfort levels of caravan bench seat beds. Having now returned to tent camping and currently without any camp beds or bedding (hoping to find some bargains over the winter), I'd really love to win this family set of Duvalay sleeping bags.
For some years, we used Thermarest Dreamtime XL SIMs for tent camping. These comprise a soft-top cover with a zip fastening, and inside there's a SIM and a separate foam topper. We swore by them but, having now used the Duvalay 2.5cm thick travel toppers, have realised the foam density - and comfort levels - of the Duvalay far exceeds that of the Thermarest Dreamtime foam.
I reckon this has to be one of the best competition prizes offered by UKCS! Here's wishing good luck to everyone (and keeping my fingers crossed that this particular prize ends up winging its way to our tent !)
