I assume things have changed over time, so what's on ours might be of no help but this is what we have.
There is an external socket positioned so it would be in the awning, to provide power for the awning. That's a normal three pin plug socket. The male hook up point is positioned so it is under one of the beds when the camper is opened up. Both are covered by plastic flaps.
Ours is a Countryman so the socket is by the door on the back of the trailer, and the hook-up point is on the side of the trailer, under the right hand bed.
