Hi,

Has anyone had any trouble with the sink above the toilet. The water has started to come out of the hole where the pipe goes through the side when lifted.

I've had the back off and can see the two pipes. Question is, did the pipe go onto the bottom of the drainer or was it just laying in the bottom ?

Can anyone help?

Wow !!

That's great advice on how to repair the basin outlet. I had the same problem in a very young sink and ended up having to buy a new replacement.......wish I'd had your guidance then!

Thanks for all the advice, after a bit of a struggle getting the drainer to get the top screwed back on, we are all back to normal and water is now going where it should!!

Failed miserably with the long drill bit method, but my Wife being an Engineers daughter came up with a great idea. After placing the basin on a blanket to protect the bottom of the basin, we basically got the bottom bit of the drainer roughly by the hole, grabbed the centre stem where the screw goes to position it bang on the hole, apply downward pressure to the whole basin which locked the outlet in place and a deft bit of quick screwdriver work and ta da! All done
