Hello!

We have just bought one of these and I can find little about it!

A google search brought me to this site!  I wonder if any of you kind people could help me out?

We have the comfort model in Orange/brown (Well it has colour on the outside!)  I saw someone had an original brochure they had scanned.  That would be useful!  Also any advice on canvas patching, cleaning and waterproofing.

Many thanks and best wishes

Richard

Hi Richard

I have a Creighton Binns folding camper as well, not sure what model mine is but I think its from the early 80's we bought our last year and are really pleased with it, ours opens out to a total floor space of 12' x 8' all off the ground, it gets a few strange looks, with quite a few people taking a stroll around the camper to check it out. hope you enjoy yours.

Hi Colin

from the photos that you have posted in your profile

you seem to have a Creighton Binns Chalet 4

The main body has a lid that folds out on to 2 support arms giving a large living area

With 2 extra seats that can be folded down and turned into another double bed

And in the trailer body you have a bed/sofa with a kitchen and wardrobe

Ours came with a built in awning too

a great way to go camping

Hi Classic

Spot on with the description of my camper,

didn't know it was called a Chalet 4 (you learn something new every day)

don't understand why more campers aren't made this way, so much room inside!

I have the smallest CB 'Comfort' which I tow behind my m/bike.   I love it and and have just fitted new indespension units and re-furbished underneath the wheel arches.   As new now.   The only thing I would change is being able to zip the 'bedroom' door.    see my gallery.

I'd love to see one or two of the bigger ones or even photos.

Hi malcokay

your Creighton Binns comfort only weighs in at6.8 cwt or 345kg

and 12.5 cwt or 635kg when loaded

so your Rover will have no problems towing it
