2003 pathfinder , when set up the top of the door frame spreads and the door barely catches. is the fridge cupboard the reinforcing for that corner of the camper. I put a new mains fridge in as the 3 way died and had to adjust the top of the cupboard. Any ideas as driving me crazy.
Thats exactly it. Fine folded. Opens pitched. I was thinking it might be the front bulkhead not attached to the fridge cabinet because when you get on the bed you can hear the door ping open, the cabinet moves since replacing the fridge and would seem to be the inner bracing. Cheers.
Our 2006 pathfinder is doing the same, someone mentioned a bent chassis but theres nothing wrong with the chassis. Its not as bad as the link Monty15 provided and I was wandering if it was the bolt being bent on the gas strut as it only like it when unfolded.
Mr Lead - it sounds like you need to get your chassis straightened out. Pennine did it for me but they are a long way from Dorset. You should be able to find someone more local who can repair a chassis.
Really sorry, but we got a few things done at the same time so I can't really separate it out. The best is probably to phone around to get some quotes.
Just in case anyone else has the same problem as me I took my pathfinder to a small company called chassis preservation in Farnham he straightened it out and my door now shuts very reasonable price
chassispreservation link for them just in case anyone else has the need to use them.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
