Hi everyone,
Only just registered on the site as we recently have just bought a 1997 pennine fiesta to take to France in may for the first time abroad ( bit scary ) I would like to ask if anyone out there can tell me how to connect the battery into the consumer unit .it as all the electrics and the 240 /12 volt system but no battery fitted and can’t find any wires that connect to battery …….. I’ve looked at diagrams etc but none show how the battery wires go into the power unit …… any help would be gratefully appreciated
I take it you meant to say 'it has all the electrics' ?
Here are the results re Fiesta battery from the Search Facility
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
If you’re going a long distance, it would be a good idea to get the trailer properly serviced by an MCEA registered engineer. They will check wheel bearings, brakes and automatic hitch, and check up on the integrity and safety of the gas system. They will be in a position to advise about the provision of a leisure battery,
Our Fiesta, we bought new in 1995; battery was in a box, and charged from a Halfords charger powered by a portable RCD unit clipped to a kitchen stay. Worked well for the 12 years we had it!

Cheers for the info ,good idea with the checks .
Just out of interest I’ve took some photos of the wiring set up to see if any you nice people can have a look and see how to connect the leisure battery before I get involved trying to find some as you advised.Must be annoying as there has been hundreds of questions round the electrics thing .
Thanks. Again to all of you
This is the set up for electrics.to the left is the battery indicator panel just out of shot it can see wires just need to know were I connect the leisure battery wires to .🤞🥴
In your 1st pic there is a white thing behind a piece of wood. That looks like it has a pair of wires from the charger. The battery will be connected in some way to that but probably be switched in some way. I wish I knew what that white square is but it's not clear from the pic.
It's probably possible to power the camper from the mains charger or a leisure battery in the camper or from the car and the selection may be made from that white square..
I'm nervous trying to tell you what to try because you could do a lot of damage or worse by not knowing what you are doing.
With all respect electrics are not something anybody should be dealing with unless they know what they are doing.
For your own peace of mind and safety of everybody I suggest you find an expert to do it for you.
