Not keen on them myself after this last trip to Scotland. I feel a fc coming on soon! Finally dry,it was very wet yesterday packing up. Saw the Alpha last year, looks very nice.Have they one on show at Camperlands?

Unfortunately no and they won`t be displaying them and I quote their reply to me:
I am afraid that we do not intend to stock the Alpha and display within our trailer tent department. It has been on the market for a while now and although it is a great trailer tent ( Fundamentally a cheaper Combi Camp ) we only have several enquiries a year and even less are sold of the unit ( In the UK ) when compared with the other units we sell within the our trailer tent department. We did display this for 18 months in our display area but sold only 2 ( Including the display model ) the Camp-let by comparison sells in the hundreds. We can order in if required but this is done on a placed order with a deposit and turn around is 4 weeks from order.
Typical Camperlands !!!
The only place that has one on display and sells them is Black Country Caravans, and they say they sell plenty of them so will most likely buy from them.
I am asking for owners reviews for the good and if any bad points.
We don`t want to get rid of our Olympe as we think it is a great TT. The problem as you know is the youngest son is 18 next year and wants to go on holiday with his mates. So only this season left with the Olympe. Therefore, with just the two of us it is too big as it is a family TT.
We have looked and many TT and the ALpha GL ticks the boxes for us. Looked at FC, but it would be just like towing half a caravan. Looked at caravans then I remembered when we had one how I disliked how it felt like being stuck in office and towing the damn thing. Those are our views, but many love FC and caravans, which is the good thing about choices.
Griff,
Just out of interest did You know that Hull Caravans are offering the new Alpha on their site, it's the only TT the offer and it's new for £ 6195
Griff,
Interestingly they do Trigano s full range, I thought that the Trigano site listed all uk agents; Camperlands, Black Country and Attwolls and O Meara in Ireland.
I have not been able to find any other dealers who do the full range offering new ?
I think it will be BBC, which is under 100 miles from us.
Don`t think Trigano like selling direct to the public, but with your position regarding the Yahoo Trigano Owners Club you could always email them to ask. Collecting cost would be mostly if not all covered by the saving of the £199 delivery charge that Camperlands charge.
Hull caravans aren`t specific in their add as to whether that is the Alpha with or without the kitchen. Their price is indicating that it is without kitchen and front storage box. I have emailed them for confirmation.
If it is with the kitchen and front storage box then it is very good price.
A few years ago I did seriously consider looking into contacting Trigano with the thoughts of independently selling their range, on a smaller scale.
I became a moderator of the site in 2011 late August with 2 others, the site had become very quiet prior to August 2011, I wanted to try to pick it up again, to have it like it was when I joined in 2006.
We still have an owner - trigano free for over 18 months, he did a great job in 2009 when the site had problems. It would be upto the owner to use the site for use as a TT supplier. A good idea as we have an active group of around 350.
The site states we have 437 members, but some of those are not responding and as can be seen by the mails it's usually the same small group who are quite active.
Good luck with the Alpha hunt, it would be great to have reviews on the site from an owner.
Ah, Paddy or Tony, I often wondered who you were. I'm glad to see that the owners group is still going strong. I still have a great deal of affection for the Trigano models but health problems meant we had to give it up. We're still in the caravan but I miss the canvas smell and feel.
Hi , we had an alpha so here are the plus and minus points. Plus points , kitchen attached and a good working height Plenty storage under the bed and nice little hard floored area . You can unzip front and side to just have a sun canopy . Trailer rides well on road with brakes fitted. Minus points. , Poles left rust marks on canvas ( but new model has coated poles and they are easier to put up than previous as now joined together . Check fittings on glass fibre lid to see if fixed properly. Black Country caravans will be very helpful and be pleased to give you advice. Plus they will have a good range of trailers on display.
