lorrnev it sounds like it depends on where you keep your tt, ours is always on our driove way (unless we are away hee hee). Due to this we were advised to unpack all so we take out all inner tent bits, canvas and the bed and seat matterases and just leave poles etc in. We then put cardboard on the folded up bed bits to take any dampnes and on top of our normal tt cover we put a tarpalin as well.
We are in some ways lucky as we got our tt in autumn 2005 so we had to unpack straight away and made room in our spare room (cupboards and under beds) for it all, then in the spring when we put it all together our other stuff comes out of the loft and lives in the hols left so I don't fill them up with new stuff. Quiet cleve me thinks. Not sure if mil likes sharing the spare room with it al though oh well!!
