Hi
We bought a Softex groundsheet and must say am not impressed. Grass grows through and worms get through too. Wish had not taken notice of others and stuck with ordinary ground sheet. Not been asked to use breathable on any site yet.
This was exactly the same as our experience too! We bought the Softex and we find it heavy, bulky and very wet underfoot in damp conditions with squashed worms pushing through. Not pleasant when, as someone else said, in your TT it's your main living space. We bought a pvc groundsheet from Towsure and it was great. I might be tempted to use the softex groundsheet though if I go for more than a week in dry weather - I'd feel terrible looking at the dead patch where we'd been pitched!
