We've been to both sorts of sites in both a TT and a FC, and we found little difference in the way we were treated. I mean, you always find a majority of friendly campers who are prepared to help, and the odd [expletive deleted] who makes your fists itch. I guess its just part of the rich tapestry of life.
What we have found, however, is that we tend to prefer CC&C sites, because they are usualy smaller and less commercial. And, admittedly, tend to have less good facilities that are sometimes a bit random with the cleaning rota. We like that, 'cos we don't want a swimming pool, and we actively hate bingo and anything remotely Butlins.
BUT! CAVEAT!
You will find beautiful and ugly, clean and dirty, friendly and unfriendly, huge and tiny sites from both clubs.
You will also find lovely people who are willing to share a cup of tea and a chat wherever you go, and whatever club you join. If you ever find yourself next to an aging hippy with an unsettlingly poo-brown 80s Conway cruiser, that'll be me. Do pop in for a cuppa.
