Maybe it would pay for all campers to fill bags with dirty clothes and nothing of real value. Then the robbing gits would get bored of stealing smelly clothes in a bag and would leave us all alone

Hi All

Just to put this in perspective me and the OH have been camping for 35yrs, started off backpacking then frame tents and now an F/C, and not once have we heard of anyone having anything stolen.So as already said keep valunles out of sight in the car and just relax and enjoy your selves.

Hi Dave,

You mean apart from me, and the others who got done that particular night?  The police who attended said it was a really common problem, but I wouldn't go that far, I think some campsites are popular with opportunists while most aren't.  However my point is this; its not enough to lock valuables away, you shouldn't leave anything lying around that looks like it MIGHT be valuable.  Its a simple precaution to lower the risk of a spoiled holiday.  Its not a very nice experience.
