Thanks LobeyDoser, i see which way you are going .The battery is fully charged , and the 2 x 12 volt sockets still work when the EHU is disconnected , but not the water pump, which points to me it must be a transformer that runs the pump.

I think you need to get someone who knows about caravan electrics to have a look at your set up. Failing that, draw out your wiring circuits, both Mains and 12v and get someone to check it. Clearly what you have at the moment is not correct.

Caravans and TT are dangerous places to be mucking around with electrics, especially when it involves 2 different voltages.
What with the damp and the metal surroundings, you really need to know what your doing and have all the neccessary circuit breakers and fuses in the right places.

Perhaps a small investment in the Haynes Caravan Manual is in order. I never touch any caravan electrics without consulting that first.

Camp site sinks never need 12v and almost always have hot water. Plus you do not need to get rid of waste water, and they are included in the price of your pitch. If you do not use them you are either mad, or you want to leave them free for me to use them. Either way i love you for not using them hehehehehhe.......... see you at the washing up sink lol

I use the sink in the TT because we used to find if one of us went of to wash pots one of the kids would all ways want the loo which would end up with the other taking all 4 kids to the toilets, which is all so why we try to shower when the kids are asleep. as for the wast water it goes down the plug hole in to the wast roll which the kids fight over helping to empty!
