          We now have a second hand  Sunncamp 400 SE, but we have no ground sheet, is there a custom made ground sheet or is it an off the shelf square job....

On the information we recieved there is no custom made sheets. We have had some of the Eco ground sheets cut to size as most sites seem to prefer these as they still allow the grass to breathe. Also we will take a normal sheet in case of extreme inclement weather.

I ava Sunncamp 400se and we just unhook the inner tents and fold them round the matress,

Also I bought the 'deluxe ' storage box from B&Q ( you know the one for putting summer seat cushiond in) and 4 'u' Bolts and attatched it to the A frame ,makes a great storage box,

And could you please let me know how you got on with keeping the awning attatched ,i never tried it ,I thought it would be a bit heavy to handle

I don't want to sound awful to all,but i do have my reservations about a coment made about leaving the awning in situ and folding it away,this in my opinion could damage the bedding poles on the trailer due to the extra weight being put on the poles when you erect it, please understand I'm not an authority on these matters but I would of thought that is sunncamp wanted this method to be done surely they would advise you that you can do this.I do appreciate that it takes time to erect the TT , then again with practice its pretty plain sailing.What do you think of this years colour compared to last and the improvements and the kitchen?

One other tip is I redrew the pole layout to make it simpler to understand (not including the trailer area which I think confuses others that help you if they haven't done it before, also the best way I found to pitch on your first day is to put the full awning out organise the inside then the day if you feel you want to change the layout do it the next day so your nice and relaxed for the first night.

The eco sheets are no good though. I bought a load when I had my 400se and they just let mud in. Shame. I got a groundsheet of ebay 4x6m and cut it down. Cost about £20!

My tip - attach the awning first then flick it over the trailer. Sunncamp DO tell you to do this in the instructions. Then fit the frame and pull it over. I did it the other way around and its virtually impossible to do. Treat the frame as two section in your mind (which it is). Remember that at the end of first section there are holes for the next section to clip on with the little hooks. Also remove the 3 large adjustable poles - these are for the front section and adjust quite cleverly to get the tent tight. Then take away the poles with feet on - these are legs for support. Then take away poles with clips on the end - these are the annex. Then you are left with just the first rear section which attaches to the cabin. Easy peasy - will take you an hour once youve done it once. The instruction are lethal - just look at it logically.

An awesome tent which we sold to a nice family this weekend (we got a tin tent!). I like the idea of leaving the awning on. As I say sunncamp state you can fold it back when erecting the awning so the frames are strong enough. I had an aerial mast and freeview in mine. Haha, memories. Far more fun than caravanning...

Focus DIY do a rubber backed rug which fits almost perfectly in the cabin area.Throw in a porta potti in the annex and you have one helluva family tent with enough awning space to include 3/4 camp beds. Still amazed me when I put it up to sell just how much room you have. I used to like the porch effect with the middle wall.

Quick tip - be careful to lower the beds not drop them. If the legs arent down they can dent the cabin as they fold back to far - I learned the hard way about that.

I hope the folk who bought my baby enjoy it - we had a great time. It is without doubt the nicest tent around. Well made and rugged with lots of nice extras. Enjoy your outings...
