If you put up the annexe section of the awning the inside living area is huge at 4.20m x 3.20m  and it's all usable space.. There's a list of internal dimensions for all Conways here. The Camargue was the biggest model of its day and there have only been a few larger models.

The sun canopy was bought a couple of years ago from Tent Valeting Services. It's a Universal  canopy that fits most Conways and costs about £95. TVS manufactures them from its stocks of Conway canvas and it just so happened that the colours used match our Camargue. Great piece of kit. You quite often see Conways with their original sun canopys for sale though.

BTW the one almost essential item that the auction Camargue doesn't mention is the underberth tents that fit beneath the bed boards to give extra sleeping space. Thee would be one supplied as standard originally with a Camargue but there is space to add a second. They cost about £50 for a new Pennine-Conway one (good quality) or £25 for a SunnCamp one. (Don't bother...they are cr*p) Might be worth asking if the seller has one.

More Conway details here, though they often exceed bandwidth and don't load.

Just to update everyone - been looking at a few new ones to get an idea of what we want and have deicded a trailer tent is the way to go. I prefer the cooking to be done away from the beds! Now on the lookout for a good deal. Priority is LARGE and not too expensive. I realise I'll pay more for a Conway over an inferior make, but to be honest, I'm thinking I'll be swayed by the cost over the quality at this point. Somebody is selling a Sunncamp 350 on here which does seem ideal for us and I think its about 5 years old. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Avoid the Coleman. These all had to be converted to UK specs, new wheels and axle, new towhitch, new electrics etc. The guy who used to do it has now retired but still does a few repairs I believe. There may have been other conversions of unknown reliability.

They were great when new but could have problems now. They are also very heavy to tow.

Hi just to let you know we are selling a conway ascot 300dl on ebay in good condition been well looked after no rips, no mould been put away dry Kept in the garage have a look listing 180319620989 we love this tt but we are emirgrating so it as to go the kids are sad they love it. But it will cost too much to have cleaned etc. Hope you find something camping is great fun and an adventure for the kids. Good luck

We had a Trigano Cheverney trailer tent from new for 4 yrs before progressing to a caravan. It served us well but my advice to you would be about if you needed any repairs. We live in the North East and whilst we found a caravan place that would carry out repairs the parts had to be sourced from Camperlands in Manchester.

Chhers for all your responses. Had a look at your listing Jo and it looks good, can I just ask what you mean when you say here that it would cost to much to have it cleaned etc..
