thank you to all for your suggestions with the fridge.  Lucky for us it is now ok.  We checked it today on our level drive and after a short while it managed to freeze a little bit of water in the freezer section of he fridge so defo all ok.     I can't belive how small a slant can upset the fridge though!!!

Hi

We had a similar problem with our fridge, nothing seemed to work but like yours it was warm at the rear. did some searches on how to repair and the way round it seems to be, to remove the fridge, a right so and so of a job, and turn the fridge upside down for an hour or so. I know sounds daft but it worked for me. It apears the coolant crystalizes in a part of the system and blocks it, turning upside down allows the crystals to settle back out.

Dave

Hi
New owner of a 2001 Pathfinder here

Any more tips on this 'right so and so of a job' as to how to remove the fridge?

Hi Sorry for the delay in replying been away and missed your post.

Any way here goes

1 remove outer vents and unplug 240v

2 inside fridge on the sides are 2 plastic caps (1 each side) flick off and unscrew revealed screws.

3 gently !! work fridge forward until you can see and work on gas connection,  (make sure gas is turned of first) and undo nut to release pipe.

4 locate 12v connections on back of fridge and diconnect (make note of were each wire goes)

5 now you can fully bring the fridge out of the housing, it needs a bit of effort.

6 turn fridge upside down and leave for a few hours.

7 to replace just reverse the above
