Mine only cost £200 so I don't bother. The gear is covered on the household insurance though.

What about the damaged caused to other people's property while it is not hitched to your car, the TT/FC is covered 3rd party on most insurance policies while it is attached to your vehicle.  If your TT/FC rolls into someones caravan you will have a repair bill likewise if you TT/FC becomes detached while towing and hits the car behind the outcome could be much worse.

I am not being a pesamist but we have insurance because thing like this do happen, mine is £4.50 a month a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Just wanted to say how impressed i was with dealing with

http://www.insurancefortrailertents.co.uk/index.html

They were very helpful and geared up for trailer tents.  They don't insist that your trailer tent has a wheel lock on it if you stop at a service station! And were also a lot cheaper!

Hi everyone I ended up insuring my trailer tent through the C&CC at a price that I thought was very reasonable. I did look at the Insurance for Trailer Tents website but they would only insure certain makes. Of course mine was not one of those makes!
