I thought we'd bent one last trip out. We had the sun canopy up and a gust of wind brought both that and the main awning crashing down. I had a 'did that pole look like that before' moment, but thankfully it was ok.
We never bent the kitchen pole though; and I can say that safely now we don't have it anymore!
Parts of Scarborough Beach are dog friendly, and if you stay at the C&CC site just north of the town there is a nice (about 15 mins I think) cliff top walk to the beach. Where are you?
Dunstan Hill club site is close to a fantastic, dog friendly, beach.Miles of sand, but it can get crowded.Sometimes there might be 4 or 5 other people there!

Were off to Cornwall in couple of weeks, our poor doggy got to go in kennels for a week, apart from feeling guilty its also costing a bomb! Still wanted to go to this site for years hope it lives up to expectations
Just a little tip regarding preventing kitchen pole being bent ! Take a short bungy cord and after you pull the pole outside the trailer body, before pulling up the canvas, hook one end of the bungy to the bracket/hinge of the pole, take the other end, under tension, down the outside of the trailer, back under the kitchen unit hinge and hook it into the fitting inside the trailer next to the hinge. This should stop the pole being blown back inside the line of the trailer body and getting bent. I keep my bungy cord in the sink so it's handy when setting up. I take no credit for this idea, just passing it on.
Also thanks Tony will try that I think, anything to stop the paranoia
Cant wait to use the camplet again, will only be our second time, I have brought a mattress topper from IKEA (£60) So hope the bed is more comfy this time.
Yes will do Ian, hope its better, mind you been to the docs and got some back tablets in advance this time!
Also saw bed slats in IKEA for £10, but would need 2 lots for the lid side bed, think I will buy them next, they all stack on top of each other too, so will be easy to pack away.
