Don't worry Steve I'm sure they will do a good job on yours, I was just unlucky.

Although I have got to say reading your replies there does seem to be a very common theme of poor service going on through them!

I also remembered having my car serviced last year just before our holiday to France. We had it done by a Ford main dealer; I drove all the way down to the Milau area towing the Conway Contiki. I had been on the site a couple of days and noticed small drops of oil on the road outside our pitch, oh I thought somebody is leaking oil, looked under my car and guess what the sump plug was loose! Very lucky that this did not turn out worse.

This is just unforgivable but unfortunately none too rare these days. It seems a mechanics only answer these days is to out new parts on till the problem goes away or even worse clean the old ones.

I heard a horror story about a local Vauxhall dealership who used to charge for oil filter , air filter etc when all they had done is cleaned the old ones and put them back on. Used to blast clean plugs and say they had been replaced. I'd have thought it was a disgruntled customer but this was one of their ex-fitters.

Fit ups more like.

It does go to prove that if you find a good garage they a re worth their weight in gold.
