having camped, boy, man and soldier, I can safely say Folding campers are the best investment I have ever made. Large enough for weekends, easy to tow, easy to store off road on drive, in garage, in garden. Cheap insurance cover, more than ample space for family. My one,was bought new, converted from 6 berth montana and never looked back. Set up to full capacity takes as much time, when you use the awning, but the work is less arduious and enjoyable. Injuries from serving made me think of the change. It will extend your ability to camp longer. My advice is to pay a visit to a local dealer, then shop around for a model and price closer to your budget.
Be lucky.
