not too bad last week couple of rainy-but not heavy spells   during the day but friday night was the worst we had all week, some gloriously sunny spells also, even had the shirt off while eating brekky!!!!, ground was firm where we we pitched but some areas in the low field were VERY WET, nice bonus of seeing an osprey whilst on ullswater boat trip!!

certainly a great place to be, she asked.... would i move to this area, her from the north and me a southern softie!! whilst going over Kirkstone pass and then on a breathtaking drive over the Honnister pass, JUST WHO could say no to this place,

I have a southern softie as well, and yes, I think he feels the same! Such a lovely place, I can't wait to go back.

Try Gillside in Glenridding, Ulswater. Less exposed, better scenery, lovely river.

We've been going for 20 years. Fantastic

walked/cycled round to a site just sat on ullswater, up through the farm and along a rather haphazard road way, 99.9% tents very uneven site, but stuck in the middle was a large TT, couldnt get much more tranquill than there,
