Our car is just wide enough to use 2 roof bags which we load then put onto the roof. When we get there we take them off then unload so no climbing on the side of the car. Also, we can then have a holiday without having drive around with a roof box on as they fold up into out boot. Ideal for us.

Hi same as you nevada as well but just the one grey hound we went down the road for a small trailer and put a lockable lid on it makes it safe for the stop points. No lifting up on top of the car and use it for taking rubbish to the tip

We put a roofbox on the little Erde trailer (plus hard top) ... looks really neat and gives a lot more storage space.

Never both at the same time!!!
Do use the trailer for local camping and other work ... and used it before getting the Pullman.

A trailer is good, as you can leave all your camping gear in it, saves forgetting stuff!

But saying that I fancy a roof box, we have had trailers but find them bit of a pain if you are parking/stopping for food on route, you can't always find a parking space, then you worry if you leave it unattended, case anyone is stealing your stuff!

Our Erde has a lockable hard top and the roof box on it is loackable too ... I put a padlock on the safety chain, so it's all pretty secure.
Never had a problem with parking, as the trailer is usually on for transit ... once camping, it is detached ... we also used it as a base for a fridge ... the hard top, with a tarp extension, provided a perfect shelter for it.

I bought a Thule roofbox, more expensive than Halfords etc, but I don't think the quality is any better. The only advantage is they have a fast fit system which really is fast and easy.

Get the biggest box you can afford, I would go for 450-500 litres, you can never have too much space when camping!
