Hi Yvonne,

Have just taken a look at your profile, Rico certainly does look nice.

The Pap in my profile is Bobbards Jolly Molly of Bedellus (Fly) and the caravan is an Eriba Duo. We have now part exchanged it for a Fleurette Tamaris pop top. We loved the Eriba but that particular model doesn't have a toilet compartment. A must for dog show sites, I think , as the facilities are very basic to say the least, and no there aren't any hook ups!

We tow with a Mitsubishi Space Star 1.6 automatic which isn't a lot different to the Wagon R, hence the Eriba and Fleurette. The Eribas are made slightly differently to other caravans being all aluminium and have a metal frame and are very suitable for towing with a small car. If we could have found the model we wanted close to home we would have gone for it.

I'm not sure where we will be going next with the 'van probably WELKS or Birmingham. We were going to UK Toy but I could possible have a litter of of 2 week old puppies by then so couldn't stay over night. We have got some Open shows in between such as Dartford at Maidstone on the 30th. Are you going?

I have got a new dog he is just 10 months old, Bodebi Success Story For Bedellus, so far he has only been out twice, he had a second at his first show SEC Toydog and Best Puppy and Best of Breed at Crystal Palace out of a very good entry.

I will see if I can put a photo of him on my profile.

Hi again, what a handsome lad your new boy is, best of luck for the future with him, I've got a couple of open shows in Essex booked up but no others yet but I'm sure we will meet one day, well you answered my question about camping at dog shows, they don't have any luxuries lol oh well Terry will be slightly better of waiting in a camper than he was waiting in the car for hours, my car is only a tiddly 1300 cc so it really limits what I can tow, got to keep it a while longer yet so an f/c is a good compromise to a van, there wasn't any Eriba's in my price range when I started to look seriously but a very nice lady with a folding camper got in touch and I go tomorrow to collect it (praying for good weather for my first go at towing), we will see how we get on camping with it which I'm quite looking forward to but  possibly in the future if the right van appears then I might change again, we have a special needs son as well so if we find he nips out the f/c when we are not looking then we will definetely have to change, I have been searching out all the camps we could go to and some of them look really nice and we are dying to look round all of the uk, I've never been to Devon or Cornwall so that's definetely on the cards in the near future,

I will be going to WELKS so we are certain to meet then, just looked on your website, lovely dogs all of them, do they mind how many dogs you bring when you camp next to the showground? most of the campsites limit to just two and while my eldest son is very helpful in staying here and looking after the others sometimes it can be a bit awkward if he is at work that day, well better get on I suppose, once I get chatting on here the day just dissappears somehow  speak to you soon Yvonne.

Hi

We have only been on one 'proper campsite' and that was at an Eriba Fest held in Brighton, sheer luxury compared with show sites.

We took all three dogs and nobody seemed to mind. As long as they are kept under control and you clear up after them it doesn't seem to matter.

Now we have got the caravan we are hoping to go to as many Ch. shows as possible especially Scotland as we have never been there and I would also like to go to Ireland.

We bought our first caravan last year and only went to Bournmouth so I am determined that won't happen this year.

I can't wait to try this new one out. I am waiting for some better weather so I can give it a good clean inside and we also want to get the mattresses re done, the foam has got a bit thin.

Well I suppose I ought to go and do some housework. Once I get on this computer I can't get off.

Bye for now

Pat

I am hoping to have some pups from Lizzy, to early to tell yet but will certainly send you some pics.

I don't think mine eat earth worms although I have found the odd dead one in doors! They love digging and I think they eat the roots.

Had a half eaten worm deposited in the living room this morning, nice present yuk yuk yuk!,

Would also like to do Scotland and Ireland shows, there is a couple at my ringcraft I go to always do the Irish shows and say its really good there,

Had my coffee break and its back to domestic stuff, we are leaving at 6 tomorrow to get to W.Midlands to collect the camper and start back before there is any bad traffic build up, I just hope it dosen't snow lol, I must admit to being slightly nervous about towing but bringing it back all the way the first time should be a baptism of fire and the next time I tow it should be easy peasy, well thats the theory anyway lol Yvonne.

Yvonne, you are a lot braver than me I haven't attempted to tow yet. I fact if it wasn't for my husband driving me I don't think I would go to any shows, I'm a real coward when it comes to driving.

I have just had a coffee break while I watched Bargain Hunt, now I am about to have another while Cash in the Attic is on. <G>

One of my friends asked me what I find to do all day now I'm retired.LOL If only she new ...it is such a busy life. After Cash in the attic it will be time for lunch - so much to do just not enough time to fit it all in, and there is still the dishwasher to empty and the vaccuuming to be done! Oh, and my Camping and Caravan Mag arrived this morning, must have a look at that. Nearly forgot, got to walk the dogs. I'm exhausted already just thinking about it. ROTFL

Pat

I dunno about being brave Pat its a question of nessessity (not sure of my spelling lol) other half was involved in a car accident a year ago and now cannot drive, I always have liked driving although there are sometimes I go on motorways when I wonder if people have a death wish the way the lane hop and rrrsss ride other drivers,

Your retirement sounds a very happy one lol, lovely to be able to fill your days with things you chose to do albeit the activities being SO exhausting lol Yvonne.
