I think you have to avoid comparing a bad tent set up with a TT. It doesn't have to take an hour to pitch a tent, you don't have to be uncomfortable, cold and unable to stand up. Sounds like your friends were doing a lot of things badly...

It is what suits an individual but it would be hugely wrong to suggest that you can't be warm and comfy in a tent.

well since starting this thread my car has been involved in a hit and run and insurance has deemed it a cat D write off. Luckily with the money I get from insurers I can buy it back, repair it AND fit a tow bar with a bit of money left over . Repairs and towbar are hopefully being fitted saturday and the Boheme is still advertised so may arrange viewing it this weekend , only problem is I have no where to store it as even our garden isn't accessable.

Storage is quote a big issue if you don't have a garden or driveway. Any family/friends have bigger garages/driveways etc where you could store?

Paid for storage can be quite expensive so do check this point out! Good luck
