14 nights at £3.50 equals £50 that could be spent on wine n beer!! Lol

Perhaps you would spend that on wine and beer, I certainly would not!!! Indeed I wouldn't spend £3.50 on the stuff.

Like I said, we spend thousands of pounds on a FC that can only be used on Campsites and then quibble over the price that Campsites charge us. Where's the sense in that?

There is no way that I am going to chance my holidays being ruined by trying it on with Campsite Owners.

I spend a lot of time researching my holidays to find the best campsites for our requirements and I am up front with them all when I book those holidays. If I intend to use my awning, I tell them.

Other can chance it if they wish, but not me. I want a carefree holiday not one where I am waiting for an irate warden to arrive at any minute.

We always pay up front and say that we have an awning.

I do not fancy having to take everything down and packing up to move on if we don't say we have an awning and then the site gets shirty and tells us to leave because we tried to do them out of the extra charge.

I paid out a lot of money for our FC and to quibble over an extra pound or two on a campsite is just daft.

If I was on another campsite I would also tell them, but as I only use the CCClub sites then I would argue it out with the site mgr as they cannot make individual rules to suit. I have never found them doing so I must say.I would not spoil my hols either. But never found it has been classed as a separate bit.

A Dandy has because of the lockable door. But the fc got away with it as the awning is more protection against others access.

But I cannot say it for other campistes as I have never been on one as yet since going into the wheelie, was always on them before then.

Still got to try the smaller ones  and would like to find one close enough to us to be able to just pop off.

But we have 3 sites of Horsley Surrey, Walton in Thames, Chertsey next to the Thames all within 16- 25 miles; maximum that being Chertsey.

We keep looking for a small site near the seaside, but a lot are commercial ones. We like to just sit by the sea and watch it, a good book and flask & sarnie. Now that suits us fine.Being that sand gets into my wheelie I want the promenade also.Yuk!!

Never, ever had anyone try to charge us for an awning on the continent.
Things must be very different in the UK.
Mind you, we've only tried France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany and Austria ... so we might yet find a country that does!

XVI yes?

As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

I do not really mind sites charging for awnings, afterall, the grass can be damaged by them and that damage has to be repaired.

Its when sites charge for things and then do not supply them that really gets on my goat, like charging for dogs and then not having a dog walking area.

I've come across a few like that and in each case have "voted with our feet and paws".
