[ know this is an old post but for referance :-

When storing
You need a breathable cover to allow ventilation otherwise you will get condensation.

A good idea i have heard is to put the large type bubble rap on the boards before pulling back the cover to allow ventilation through the gaps of the bubble rap]

Hi Lawson1980. Could you expand on your last post please? You mention a breathable cover. Where dose this cover fit? is it instead of the transport cover?

Ferrodo a breathable cover is like one of the Kampa winter covers. they are not properly waterproof despite what some people think. they are more of a dirt cover I guess

They then go over the transit cover and enclose the whole FC in a cover. We don't have one but may get one for this winter as it stops the main waterproof transit cover getting dirty and i guess stops some UV deteriation o the transit cover

Hi Sunshine, yeah I have a breathable cover on my  Pathfinder. A really essential piece of kit in my opinion. I also have a large piece of foam that I place on the transport cover, a builders tarp over that and then the breathable cover. The whole camper is tilted to an angle on the jockey wheel. The thing is I can't see how bubble wrap under the transport cover will help. Or do I have it wrong? I have  a few black flecks on the roof panel which I assumed were mildew. I treated them with a weak solution of Milton in water. i can't even say for sure that these marks wern't there before I bought the camper. Anyway I open it up yesterday and the marks haven't got any worse. It's very easy to get paranoid about these things and my camper is 6 years old and I must accept the odd mark, stain and blemish will happen with use. Still, me an 'er are exceptionally particular on pack away making sure that everything is dry and clean before the covers go on. Bit of a concern this mildew lark. It seems everyone has a favourite cure but I find the most baffling thing is how prone TT's and FC's are to it.

Some great advise from all here. I used the boiling water on my canvas boat cover but instead of rubbing it I used the power washer on both sides and it came out like new. Highly recommend the power washer.
