Hi all, am really interested in this thread , we have a fiesta and would like to have an alternative to putting up the main awning for short stops. I assume the caravan awnings are much quicker to erect?
However we only have one side skirt - was told by pennine that our model only has one(? ) so would a caravan awning not work then?
it would work you would just have a gap on one side.as to speed mine lives on top of the fc,so once i have pulled the beds out,it's just a case of pull the awning down fit the one pole and peg.no more than 10mins.
We have a partially converted porch awning that was intended for our Conway Countryman, but having decided to sell the unit this awning is now extra to requirements.
The zip was added by TVS and now just needs some adaptation to the sides - presumably some darts or material removing in order to make it fit to the body of the camper.
We were going to include it in the sale of the camper, but if anyone looking for a porch awning is interested, give me a shout.
I haven't listed the camper yet - just working out all the extras that will be included.
It will technically work with only one skirt but you would potentially have a huge draught when up so may not be particularly useful in anything other than great summer weather!
Maybe look at TVS to make you up a skirt which could be attached say with pop studs ro similar?
