Double size duvet on the "kingsize" bed for us. They are 137cm wide I believe so pretty much same as domestic double which is 135cm. We have European king size at home so would be far too big (160cm wide bed)
If you already have sleeping bags then try them first, especially if they are decent ones. you can pick up cheap and cheerful devets from supermarkets etc for under a tenner so don't have to spend a fortune
Getting something underneath you is important aswell as mattresses are a lot thinner than your average domestic mattress
