The one under the blue tarp is a 1962 Moggy Convertible. (At present being used as an Awning Drying Rack ). The one under the black tarp is a 1946 Morris E.

I work in a factory, I can't wait to get out of it, so going for a holiday in an old factory? Errrrr, don't think so.

Seems a really daft idea to me. The whole point of camping/caravanning is to get OUTSIDE.

Our FC was wet when we packed up last Tuesday after 6 days (and nights) of heavy rain. However it wasn't actually raining when we did pack and so we didn't bother with the wet pack sheets, but just threw the sodden porch awning onto the roof and folded up as normal.

I went the the workshop yesterday and opened up the camper, full expecting the bedding etc to be damp and us having to put the dehumidifier on inside the FC, but everything inside was dry and although there was some droplets of water still sitting on the outside of the canvas in places, nothing had soaked through.

I have taken the porch awning off the FC and laid it over an old car to dry off and I have left the FC erected to dry completely and to repack ready for our next trip away in a couple of weeks time.

Its nice to know that as long as it is not actually tipping it down when we pack up, that the inside of the FC will remain dry even when the outside canvas is wet.

Normally I'd be thinking that was a crazy idea but after the last few weeks rain, I'm kinda tempted!
