Hmmm, thanks for all your opinions. After considering a small caravan I think the storage maybe a bit too expensive for us and I don't want to store it on the drive. Also a bit jittery about towing it if being honest. Also the constant bed making might get on my nerves after years of leaving beds made up.

Now for the camper, we have for a few years considered a fiesta or countryman, but now we might go for one a bit bigger. If we do that we wont have to put the awning up unless really needed for longer stays, that would eliminate all the pegging out which is one of the things getting on our nervers with the tt (getting a bit hard now ) so we think we're nearly there...........now we just have to decide whether get one with a toilet already in it or carry on taking our own and finding a place to keep it for use without it being in the way. decisions, decisions............so hard. (well it is for me anyway )

Thanks everyone

Helen

We are in the same boat, its a nightmare deciding which is best!

All of them have good points and bad points, I have been making a list including cost, hassle to put up, storage and so on!

We have already had a FC, TT and several caravans and if money was no object I would go for a caravan every time, like I say apart from the costs involved they are easy and comfortable for over night stops and in bad weather, the only down side for me is my OH stress's out when we get lost, which we always do, with a caravan on the back it just seems much worse! So maybe a FC is better? We had a small on - Conway challenger, which was great but not really big enough, to sit inside and eat in, so if we went for another one it would have to be a 6 berth with the sofas.

The only thing with the loo's in FC's they are so small, its ok for then men who just stand and aim, but the one I looked at this weekend looked so small I'm sure I would of been wedged in!  The loo bit doesn't interest me, I have the luggable loo.

We have an FC and doubt we'd ever tent again. In fact we bought a tent, camped for 4 nights then left it erected and took our stuff home.
The FC is much easier, more luxurious and we love it!!

Wish we'd discovered camping years ago!
